Νεκρή στα 33 της χρόνια η Νάγια Ριβέρα του «Glee»

Η Νάγια Ριβέρα, η οποία έγινε γνωστή από τον ρόλο της cheerleader Σαντάνα Λόπεζ στη σειρά του Ράιαν Μέρφι «Glee», βρέθηκε νεκρή χτες στη λίμνη Πιρού της Καλιφόρνια. Αιτία θανάτου ήταν ο πνιγμός, ενώ σύμφωνα με τις αρχές δεν υπάρχουν ενδείξεις για αυτοκτονία ή δολοφονία.

Η εξαφάνιση της είχε δηλωθεί από την προηγούμενη Τετάρτη όταν είχε πάει μαζί με τον τετράχρονο γιο της στη λίμνη να περάσει το απόγευμα κάνοντας βαρκάδα. Ο γιος της βρέθηκε μόνος του πάνω στην βάρκα κλαίγοντας και είπε στις αρχές που τον βρήκαν πως ο ίδιος και η μητέρα του πήγαν για κολύμπι αλλά η ίδια ποτέ δεν επέστρεψε στην βάρκα.

«Εκείνος και η Νάγια κολυμπούσαν στην λίμνη μαζί. Ηταν εκείνη την στιγμή όπου ο γιος της περιέγραψε πως ένιωσε να τον βοηθά να ανέβει στην βάρκα. Είπε στους αστυνομικούς πως κοίταξε πίσω και την είδε να εξαφανίζεται κάτω από την επιφάνεια του νερού. Πιστεύουμε πως είχε αρκετές δυνάμεις για να φέρει τον γιο της πίσω στην βάρκα αλλά όχι την ίδια», δήλωσε ο Σερίφης Μπιλ Αγιούμπ.

Στη λίμνη Πιρού βρέθηκαν φίλοι και συγγενείς, ανάμεσά τους και οι κάποιοι ηθοποιοί του «Glee», όπως οι Χέδερ Μόρις, Αμπερ Ρίλεϊ, Κρις Κόλφερ και Κέβιν ΜακΧέιλ, για να αποτίσουν φόρο τιμής και να πουν το δικό τους τελευταίο αντίο, κρατώντας χέρι-χέρι, στην αδικοχαμένη ηθοποιό. Μαζί με τον πρόωρο θάνατο του Κόρι Μοντίθ, την αυτοκτονία του Μαρκ Σάλινγκ και τώρα τον θάνατο της Ριβέρα, το «Glee» έχει μετατραπεί σε μια μάλλον καταραμένη ιστορία ενηλικίωσης σε ένα κόσμο που μοιάζει λιγότερο με μιούζικαλ και περισσότερο με ένα δράμα βαρέων βαρών.

Αμέσως μόλις έγιναν γνωστά τα νέα, τα social media γέμισαν από τα συλλυπητήριά των σταρ και των θαυμαστών για τον θάνατο της Ριβέρα.

If you were friends with Naya Rivera, you simply can’t. Her brilliance and humor were unmatched. Her beauty and talent were otherworldly. She spoke truth to power with poise and fearlessness. Naya was insanely talented, breathtakingly gorgeous, and one of the wittiest people I’ve ever met, but the legacy she left behind for me is her kindness. I joined the cast of Glee in the third season and as the newcomer, I was intimidated and terrified. The cast was already such a tight-knit group who had been working incredibly hard together for over three years to make it a hit show and I never expected any of them to have time for me. To my surprise, Naya, one of the most beloved by the rest of the cast (and the entire world), showed me instant warmth and kindness. She invited me to parties and gatherings and was always there to give advice. She was a superstar who had nothing to gain from being kind to the new girl, but she was and that changed this new girl’s entire experience on that show. I will forever be grateful to that beautiful human. My heart goes out to her family and her sweet boy. ❤️
