Μετά τις ανακοινώσεις των υποψηφίων των Ενώσεων Ηθοποιών (SAG) και Σκηνοθετών (DGA) της Αμερικής ήρθε η ώρα και οι Παραγωγοί (PGA) να ανακοινώσουν τις δικές τους.
Οι ταινίες «Oppenheimer», «Anatomy of a Fall», «American Fiction», «Barbie», «Τα Παιδιά του Χειμώνα», «Poor Things», «Περασμένες Ζωές», «Οι Δολοφόνοι του Ανθισμένου Φεγγαριού», «Οπενχάιμερ», «Maestro» και «The Ζώνη Ενδιαφέροντος» γεμίζουν την κατηγορία Καλύτερης Ταινίας, κάτι που αναμένεται να δούμε αρκετές από αυτές και στην ίδια κατηγορία των Οσκαρς, αν και πέρσι οι ταινίες «Η Φάλαινα» και «Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery» δεν κατάφεραν να κερδίσουν μια θέση στις υποψηφιότητες για την Καλύτερη Ταινία στα Οσκαρ.
Εκτός έμειναν τα «The Color Purple», «All of Us Strangers», «Saltburn», «Origin», «The Iron Claw» και «Air».
Τα βραβεία PGA είναι ένα από τα πιο ακριβή νικητές της Καλύτερης Ταινίας, με 15 από τους τελευταίους 20 νικητές της ένωσης (συμπεριλαμβανομένου του «Everything Everywhere All at Once» πέρυσι) να κερδίζουν το Οσκαρ. Αλλες διακρίσεις όπως τα Critics Choice Awards και τα Βραβεία AFI έχουν παρόμοια φήμη για την ακρίβεια, αλλά το πρώτο έχει ψηφοφόρο σώμα χωρίς σχεδόν καμία συσχέτιση με την Ακαδημία και το δεύτερο επικεντρώνεται σε παραγωγές με έδρα στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες Αμερικής.
Από την πλευρά της τηλεόρασης, οι υποψηφιότητες στην κατηγορία Καλύτερης Δραματικής Σειράς περιλαμβάνουν τα «Succession», «The Last of Us», «The Morning Show», «The Diplomat» και «The Crown». Στις υποψηφιότητες για την Καλύτερη Κωμική Σειρά περιλαμβάνονται τα «Barry», «The Bear», «Jury Duty», «Only Murders in the Building» και «Ted Lasso».
