Pawel Pawlikowski’s “Ida” triumphs at the 27th European Film Awards

With five major awards, Pawel Pawlikowski’s “Ida” was the great winner at the 27th European Film Awards, in a ceremony that took place at Riga’s National Latvian Opera and was unexpectedly funny and upbeat thanks to the German host Thomas Hermanns.

The more than 3,000 members of the European Film Academy – filmmakers from across Europe – have voted for this year’s European Film Awards. At the awards ceremony in Riga the following awards were presented
